There’s plenty to do not only at our resort itself but also in the surrounding area, all from your waterfront villa. Our park is right next to Makkum’s charming sandy beach and bustling boardwalk, which features many outdoor dining areas and water sports opportunities. Nature lovers can go hiking or biking in the nearby De Makkumersúdwaard nature reserve. In the mood for a culturally enriching outing? Quaint Frisian towns such as Harlingen, Bolsward, and Sneek are just around the corner, or take the ferry from Harlingen for a day trip to Terschelling or Vlieland.

Can I bring my dog to your resort?

Absolutely! In some of our waterfront villas, pets are welcome. There are beautiful hiking trails in the Makkum area where you can enjoy a lovely walk with your dog.

Does every waterfront villa have its own jetty?

No, not every waterfront villa has its own jetty. Do you want to make sure you're booking an accommodation with a jetty? Simply use the “Jetty” filter in our Search & Book section. This way, you can immediately see which waterfront villas have their own jetty.
